Katherine (Kath) Larkin was a dedicated volunteer who served the Newmarket Skating Club on the Board of Directors for many years, including Badge Test Chairperson, Synchronized Skating Chairperson and Skate Canada Test Chairperson.

Kath leaves behind her husband Mike, her son Tom as well as her skating daughters Kate and Beth. Kath also leaves behind thousands of memories with hundreds of families that she touched in the skating community. She always had a smile on her face and was always willing to help.

What better way to honour Kath’s memory than to create a sponsorship fund in her name. Kath believed, as we all do, that every child should be given the opportunity to learn how to skate.

Eligibility  |  NSC considers social and economic barriers facing the child’s family when determining eligibility. All applications are held in the strictest of confidence. Funding for one year does not guarantee funding in future years so you will need to reapply every year.
